Bridge of Hope Greater Denver is Getting Help to Overcome Homelessness

April 28 02:38 2021

Denver, CO, USA – April 27, 2021 – Bridge of Hope Greater Denver is getting help from local supporters to overcome homelessness for 26 families in 2021. Like most non-profits during Covid, Bridge of Hope Greater Denver was concerned there would be a drop in financial support and they wouldn’t be able to fundraise and attract sponsors. However, thanks to local support from companies like Eco Roof and Solar, which is hosting their own fundraising event to support the Bridge of Hope program, Bridge of Hope is on track. Along with all their financial donors, Bridge of Hope Greater Denver will help change the lives of 26 more single mothers and children this year.

Bridge of Hope embraces Christianity’s core values while lifting families out of poverty regardless of race, faith, or life experiences, truly bridging the gap between poverty and self-sufficiency. Bolstered by fundraising efforts and business partnerships, Bridge of Hope Greater Denver served 17 families in 2020, and they are able to continue to grow and provide assistance to those in need by serving an additional 9 families in 2021. Bridge of Hope is making a difference in the lives of the many who will gain inspiration from stories of the women daring enough to ask for help and those who had the compassion to offer them the support they needed.

Bridge of Hope started with the hope to make a lasting difference in generational poverty, helping women and children with nowhere else to turn. They work with single mothers who are either homeless or nearing homelessness by providing career and budgeting guidance, rental assistance, and a stable support network. The moms are modeling financial responsibility and the value of hard work for their families. Families served through Bridge of Hope are matched with professional staff and Neighboring Volunteers through local churches. Through this three-way partnership, families learn the power of positive and healthy relationships. The Neighboring Volunteers embrace the call from the Gospel of Matthew 22:39 to “love thy neighbor as thyself.” They provide emotional support, guidance, and encouragement as the families work through the program.

To help raise funds and awareness for Bridge of Hope Greater Denver, Eco Roof and Solar is hosting the 2021 Eco Golf Classic on July 8, 2021, at Fox Hollow Golf Course. Sponsors provide monthly financial assistance, services for the families, and rental properties. Individuals and companies can make a difference in helping end homelessness by donating to Bridge of Hope Greater Denver at greaterdenver.bridgeofhopeinc.org/give.
